Last Monday took place the long-awaited Mat Gala, that preceded the opening of the Costume Institute’s exhibition “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” on the 10th of May. This year’s charity dinner’s theme was “Tailored for you”, i.e., sartorial looks related to the figure of the black dandy. Defined as “king of balcony plants” in the article “Le 10 fioriture primaverili più colorate” on If Creative Hub, geranium is a Must on Italian balconies. Just think about the splendid balconies in Trentino Alto Adige (North of Italy) filled with colourful geraniums!

For this flower in particular, we thought about Costarellos’s crepe dress with beaded flower embellishment on the V-neck.

 

For the Autumn-Winter 2025, designer Erdem Moralioglu collaborated with the British painter Kaye Donachie, famous for her portraits. In the amazing cocktail dress in silk organza, trough different shades, the portraits of Erdem’s mother by Donachie appears. Threads hanging from the stunning knitwear embroideries, looks like painter’s brush strokes.

The fabrics of the collection go from lamb leather to scuba, from boucle to lace, from jacquard to sequins.

To completions, lovely bags in three different measures, in leather, velvet and sequin produced in Italy. Also in the accessory part, Erdem’s soul is easily recognizable thanks to the amazing brass floral handle that further adorn the bag itself.

The 75th festival of Italian song

Wonderfull Sanremo’s week as just finished and it has glued most Italians to television. Lucyly, thanks to Carlo Conti’s hosting, this year Italians managed to go to bed “early”compared to 2am of last years! Songs performed on Ariston’s stage amazed the audience that proclaimed Olly’s “Blaorda Nostalgia” winner of the festival. Of course, there have been critics to chart because too unfair for few singers.

The Spanish-origin brand was established in 2012 in Shanghai, where Celia lived for more or less a decade.

Celia has recently collaborated with British stylist Zandra Rhodes in order to create a capsule collection in which the creatives minds of the two merge together. Moreover, the brand dressed part of the cast from the third season of Netflix series Sex Education.

Celia B’s main showroom is located in Oviedo, the stylist’s home town, however starting from PreFall25, the collection will be presented also in our showroom in Milan!
