CUSTOMMADE ANNOUNCES NEW HEAD OF DESIGN AND EXPANDS THE BRAND’S DNA

With the assignment of the new designer Mette Fredin, the Danish brand Custommade has taken a new direction. Well known for its poetic universe, from the FallWinter 2024 season, the collection will have sexier and more playful image, always maintaining its exclusivity and craftsmanship.

Mette joins from a Senior Designer position at Saks Potts, having had significant experience as head of the style office of 2NDDAY and as Creative Director and Co-founder of the brand Blanche.

Over 20 years, Custommade has proven to be an exclusive Danish brand. The rosy growth has led to new goals and the desire to inspire and transmit emancipation, sensitivity and self-confidence. The exclusivity, femininity and quality for which the brand is known remains, but with a new direction, therefore with more playfulness, sensuality and with a more urban atmosphere.

“Fashion evolves – so we do as well. Custommade's DNA is already well established, and we are currently generating a lot of interest and having good growth. Now is the right time to expand our brand and strengthen our identity. Our ambition, with the new collections, is to provide everyone with the sensation of feeling strong, feminine and happy in their own body. We want to inspire a playful style that makes women interact with the world, feeling empowered and comfortable in their own unique style. Everyone we are custom-made, and this is what we want to convey through our new design."

says the brand's founder and CEO Christian Dam.

Brand identity is not the only thing that's now expanding and developing. Custommade is heading towards new international horizons, thanks to the contribution of a new investor, well known in the fashion world. Ole Damm, comes as an investor and partner. New investor and partner Ole Damm sees great potential in Custommade's future path:

"We join Custommade by offering logistical skills among other things, but also the knowledge of how to adapt brands to become stable in the long term. It's about creating time and space for the work of Christian and his team, to focus on the creative processes of the company. The potential of Custommade is very interesting for us. The success we have seen in the shoe collection has left its mark on our industry. "

With the arrival of Mette Fredin and Ole Damm, the brand is focusing on international growth and renewing its brand image. The new collections will be available in stores and online from July 2024.
