St.John, well known for knits, presented its new collection with some original designs directly from the ’60. Creative director Enrico Chiarparin took inspiration from Palms Springs and desert, focusing both on the landscapes and on the interior of estates in Southern California. In fact, in the Spring 2025 collection we can find pastel crochet knit dresses and shorts and floral prints that remind of cactus flower.
“But the heart of the brand now and forever is tweeds” (Booth Moore, “St.John in a Western State of Mind for Spring 2025”, Women’s wear daily, 12/09/24). Quite interesting the younger approach represented through a Kiwi suit composed of tweed jacket and shorts and a soft pink tweed dress matching a short sleeves jacket.
The collection is divided in two colors categories. The first one is inspired by the American flag, thus consisting of blue, red and brighter nuances. The second one is based on the spring flower, with acid green, pink and yellows hues.
